Hello Dear Readers,

I hope that month XX of the pandemic is treating you and your loved ones well. I don’t send out these newsletters very often, preferring to reserve them for moments when we have actual news.

To that end, I have a few brief announcements to make:

Some of you may already know we’ve added a new editor. Let me introduce you to Sven Howard. He’s a good friend from my days in Prague, a voracious, astute reader, and a welcome addition to our team. Mike Sturm remains, as he put it, our “Editor Emeritus — roaming the hallways, cavorting, but avoiding the real work entirely.” The Junction is still my baby, and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

We are, however, giving ourselves a break and putting a pause on new writer submissions. They’ll be back sometime in June.

In the meantime, I strongly urge those interested in having your work published with us to consider our friends over at Lit Up. DiAmaya Dawn and her team have an April Writing Prompt that is sure to be a treat. Their deadline is April 26th, so better get to work on that great, new tale.

Stay tuned for a further announcement coming at some point in May. We’ve got something in the works, though we’re still hashing out the details.

Until next time,

Stephen M. Tomic
Editor-in-Chief
